Most notably in 2017, DES replaced the data and wireless networks using Alcatel products and installed a new Alcatel-Lucent IP-based phone system at West Virginia’s West Liberty University.
The project was among the largest for DES in 2017.
“I’ve been through many cutovers, but this certainly has been the most successful that I have ever seen,” said Bob Oglinsky, who managed the project for West Liberty University.
“We’ve migrated from a very minimal environment to the best in class,” added Chief Technology Officer James Clark.
Other DES higher education customer utilizing Alcatel products include Duquesne University, Clarion University, Morgan State University, Butler County Community College and Washington College in Baltimore.
