BROOKVILLE, Pa. — Dagostino Electronic Services (DES) began work last week at a facility in Jefferson County that will be among the first medical cannabis cultivation facilities in the state of Pennsylvania.

Cresco Yeltrah’s medical marijuana facility in Brookville, Pennsylvania, will be among the state’s first to cultivate cannabis.

DES is installing the infrastructure for the phone and computer network at the Jefferson County Grower/Processor Facility in Brookville, approximately two hours northeast of Pittsburgh.

DES will also implement a state-of-art security system at the 12-acre site that includes at 46,000 square foot building that previously housed St. Mary’s Carbon Company.

Cresco Yeltrah, LLC purchased the property after it was awarded a permit by the Pennsylvania Department of Health earlier this year.

A proud sponsor of the 2017 World Medical Cannabis Conference and Expo, DES has committed considerable time and resources to helping companies like Cresco Yeltrah comply with state regulations as they enter Pennsylvania’s medical marijuana industry.

DES is working with those companies to implement solutions in the most cost-effective way possible to set them up for long-term success.

Medical cannabis will be available to Pennsylvania residents under a physician’s care for one of 17 serious medical conditions as early as next year.

The conditions covered are as follows:

  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

  • Autism

  • Cancer

  • Crohn’s Disease

  • Damage to the nervous tissue of the spinal cord with objective neurological indication of intractable spasticity

  • Epilepsy

  • Glaucoma

  • HIV/AIDS

  • Huntington’s Disease

  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease

  • Intractable Seizures

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Neuropathies

  • Parkinson’s Disease

  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder

  • Severe chronic or intractable pain of neuropathic origin or severe chronic or intractable pain in which conventional therapeutic intervention and opiate therapy is contraindicated or ineffective

Patients must apply for a state-issued medical marijuana ID card after getting a recommendation from their doctor.

They can then purchase medical cannabis at dispensaries across the state in pill, oil, topical gel, cream or ointment, tincture, liquid or any form medically appropriate for administration by vaporization or nebulization, excluding dry leaf or plant form.

Cresco Yeltrah has a wealth of resources for patients on its website, stateofrelief.com, including frequently asked questions about their services.
