PITTSBURGH – University of Pittsburgh alumni attending Saturday’s homecoming game at Heinz Field might notice something new for 2017: Wireless internet.

The Wi-Fi was installed by Dagostino Electronic Services, Inc. last year but this is the first full football season fans can take advantage stadium wide.

Heinz Field is most notably known as the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers but the Pitt Panthers have also played their home football games at the stadium since it opened in 2001.

DES installed the highly robust and reliable wireless solution by utilizing products from Fortinet and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise.

The Panthers take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack Saturday at noon but pregame festivities begin at 9:30 a.m.
